Two Factor Authentication

Over the last few months we’ve been asked by several customers to allow two factor authentication, as it would make them feel safer. After doing some research, we’re happy to announce that it’s now available to any customer who wants to enable it. To do so, log in to your account, click the “Hello <Your Name>” button and then “Security Settings”. There your will be presented with a green “Click here to Enable” button under “Two-Factor Authentication” section.

When clicked, you’ll see a prompt that asks you to select the type of two-factor authentication you want to enable. At the time of writing, the only option is “Time Based Tokens” (this may change at a later date). At this point, click “Get Started”. Once done, you will see a QR code, which you need to scan with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Duo. If you have trouble scanning the code, you can copy and paste the code manually. Once done, enter the code generated by the app in the box under the QR code.

You will then be presented with a backup code. Please make sure you write it down and save it in a safe place. This code can be used in case your phone is lost or damaged.

That’s it! You’ve enabled two-factor authentication with Entexion now. Congratulations!
